About Me

First, the stats. I and my husband are Los Angeles born and bred, which is where we met and married. We have five wonderful, smart, funny and fun, talented grown and nearly-grown children.  We currently reside in a tiny, charming historic town in Southern Oregon. We moved here from Los Angeles in 1988 in order to found an audio publishing business, which we still own and partly manage.

The stuff beneath the skin:

Who I am is what I believe and value. I believe that a redemptive and transformative story rules the universe. Faith is required to "see" and to participate in the story. Every movie, book, play, and work of art has the potential to reflect the true story on a micro level. The more accurately truth is portrayed in the work of art, the more power it has to transform human life for good. Stories are powerful, and are, therefore important.

I value beauty in all forms, especially the beauty of a transformed, surrendered and God-crafted life. I value creativity, as a God-given and God-reflecting gift. I am made in his creator image in order to create. As everything that Midas touched turned to gold, my hope is that everything that I touch would somehow be transformed toward light.

I am drawn to design, and I especially delight in contrast. I like a crystal chandelier against a black wall, gold beads on a leather bracelet, a sparkly object on a rustic wooden shelf.  I like texture and dark, rich colors.  I like to juxtapose things that are old with newer objects. I also like things with wings - butterflies, dragonflies, birds and faeries, and I  like hearts.

Most of all, I enjoy celebrating life with family and friends. We are always looking for a reason to party. Because I work to focus on people over perfection, we keep things simple, and don't over worry about the details. I am not an efficient "household engineer." Our house is rarely (if ever) all clean at once, our food might not merit a magazine photo shoot, but we have a steady stream of people who seem to come over to see us and not our house, and this, I love!

Welcome to my life.
